Winchester

I am pretty sure that I’ve never considered the dog-friendliness of a vehicle before buying it.  The fact is that I’ve never really had to.

But with the somewhat recent addition of Winchester to our family, the next vehicle purchase we make will definitely take this into account.

We happened to fall in love with a little guy (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel to be exact). He’s small and easy to transport, and thankfully we have a large enough back seat to accommodate his carrier.  But for many larger dogs, it would have been a real dilemma.

So if you’re in the position of shopping for a vehicle that fits your family and your pooch, look at this list of Top 10 Dog-Friendly Cars.

Here’s a crazy story with a happy ending. Unbeknown to the car owner, a puppy somehow gets herself wedged next to the vehicle’s transmission. On a 30-mile emergency trip to the hospital, the driver hears whining sounds from the front of the car. Amazingly, when she stops to investigate she finds the cute little black Labrador looking back at her from under the hood. Next, a good samaritan comes into the picture. Watch below for the full story.
